I, Dr. Zieg J. Weber, B.D.S., MSc Dent, M Dent (Orth), in my role as a mentor and representative of the Practical Orthodontics Academy of Mentorship (POAM), hereby declare that neither I nor POAM, its affiliates, instructors, advisors, or representatives assume any direct or indirect responsibility or liability for any orthodontic treatment undertaken by practitioners who participate in the POAM program.

The POAM program is strictly an educational, advisory, and mentorship initiative designed to enhance the clinical skills and knowledge of registered dental professionals. It serves as a support system for clinicians managing orthodontic cases within their own independent practices. POAM does not provide direct patient care, issue treatment directives, or assume responsibility for treatment planning, execution, or outcomes.

As professionally trained and licensed clinicians, all mentees of the POAM program bear full and sole responsibility for the diagnosis, treatment planning, execution, and outcomes of orthodontic treatments performed on their own patients. Any clinical decisions made, techniques applied, or treatment strategies implemented by mentees are their own professional responsibility and must be based on their independent clinical judgment, in compliance with the ethical and legal requirements of their respective regulatory bodies.

POAM, its mentors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any incorrect, unsuccessful, or failed orthodontic treatment resulting from advice, guidance, or recommendations provided during the program. All participating practitioners are encouraged to critically evaluate and apply the knowledge gained in accordance with their professional training, experience, and regulatory obligations.

By enrolling in and participating in the POAM program, mentees expressly acknowledge and accept this disclaimer of liability, confirming their understanding that all clinical decisions and treatment outcomes remain their personal and professional responsibility.
